Miscellaneous
INDOOR FIREPLACE – When lighting a fire it’s critically important to open the chimney damper – please see page 11. The house will almost immediately begin filling with smoke – it’s a serious fire hazard.
OUTDOOR FIRE PIT – There are multiple sheds of wood on the property to choose from with several cords near the metal fire pit. We ask that the fire pit remain on the circular paved area.
GAS GRILLING – There’s a gas grill located in the breezeway between the house and the garage. Do not grill in the breezeway between the garage and house – please use it in the open air. It will melt the siding and pose a serious fire hazard. The grill needs to be used in open air. There is a self-explanatory propane-level gauge attached to the grill. If the grill runs out of gas, there will be a full one located in the garage. Lighting instructions can be found on the inside of the bottom grill doors.
Heating & Air Conditioning
There are two Nest thermostats in the house – one in the downstairs sitting room and one in the upstairs hallway. The downstairs Nest controls the heating (no AC) and the upstairs Nest controls both heating and cooling.
Trash / Recycling
There are two 96-gallon Waste Management containers in the garage – one for garbage and one for recycling. The container with the green lid is for garbage and the container with the yellow lid is for recycling (recyclables MUST BE REMOVED from the plastic garbage bags before placing them in the container). Garbage MUST be separated from recyclables.
Check out
When leaving the house please lock the sliding door leading to the back porch and to lock the front door, simply press the House logo on the keypad and the door will lock. We also appreciate guests running the dishwasher when leaving if there are dirty dishes.
